DURHAM'S MAIN STREET-early 1900's
The original is in the corporate collection of Wachovia Bank & Trust. Inspired by stories my grandfather and his brothers would tell of their days as young men. One great uncle (Samuel Moore) worked on the trolleys and another great uncle (Willie Moore) worked for the Ford dealer. His first job was painting pin stripes on the wheels of model-Ts to eventually move up to painting the bodys of the cars.

MEGAN'S SEARCH
Symbolic of the search for beginnings and the simple joys of youth. A celebration of all the discoveries one makes in life, and the soulful closure of a life fulfilled. During this time I as an adult saw in the darkened space sadness and finality, while Megan my niece in her youth saw a happy discovery of life (kitty).
